The BLOCC Fellowship didn't just give me skills, it gave me the foundation to deepen them. I secured an internship, performed at a level that got noticed, and was invited to stay. That's what BLOCC prepares you for, not just getting in the room, but being asked to come back.

Alumni Continuum:
Once a BLOCC Fellow, always a BLOCC Fellow. Graduates enter the BLOCC Network. A private alumni community with access to continued mentorship, curated introductions, and emerging opportunities. The network does not expire.
At 18, I thought I was prepared. Then I sat down to write my college applications and realized how much I didn't know about myself. The BLOCC Fellowship changed that. I gained confidence, learned my strengths, and understood how to use them. By the time I walked into any room, I knew I belonged there.

Morgan Stanley
Hosted at Brooklyn Public Library, Fellows engaged Elyse Williams of Morgan Stanley in a focused session on commercial mortgage underwriting. Students explored how capital is structured, how risk is assessed, and how real estate financing decisions shape communities. Ms. Williams contributed her time and expertise as an in-kind contributor, offering direct industry insight and professional perspective.

Mount Sinai
Through BLOCC's network, Fellows were connected to a competitive Mount Sinai internship focused on developing solutions to challenges impacting underserved BIPOC girls. Students applied independently and were accepted. BLOCC supported Fellows in building competitive applications and navigating the selection process — the outcomes were entirely their own.
Neil Nagraj
Hosted at Brooklyn Public Library, Fellows participated in a networking strategy session led by Neil Nagraj, owner of Senior Care Authority NYC and former editor at the New York Daily News. Students learned how to build professional relationships, navigate introductions, and communicate their value with clarity and confidence.
